Amazon’s AWS has acquired Wickr, the encrypted messaging app

Amazon presently has a messaging app for its personal. Amazon, the giant company AWS has acquired Wickr, the secure messaging app founded in 2012.

The Signal-like encrypted messaging services were principally employed by the government agencies in the United States. Amazon, however, has not disclosed the amount of the deal.

Amazon mentioned this in their blog post. “We’re excited to share that AWS has acquired Wickr, an innovative company that has developed the industry’s most secure, end-to-end encrypted communication technology. With Wickr, customers and partners benefit from advanced security features not available with traditional communications services across messaging, voice and video calling, file sharing, and collaboration. Gives security-conscious enterprises and government agencies the ability to implement important governance and security controls to help them meet their compliance requirements.”

Wickr is initially intended for government agencies, the military, businesses, and people. The messaging app, which was established by Robert Statica, Kara Coppa, Christopher Howell, Nico Sell, York Sell in 2012,

Wickr apps are based on various customer requirements. The app allows users to exchange end-to-end encrypted and content-expiring messages, including photos, videos, and file attachments.

Wickr has numerous apps, including Wickr Pro, Wickr RAM, and Wickr Enterprise, Wickr Me. WickrRAM was specially created consistency in thought the military.

It is understood that the app visits secure even in the noisiest environment, whereas designed the Wickr Enterprise created the Wickr Enterprise for businesses with more extended workforces.

Wickr is so secure that it secure users’ data and discussions and strips metadata from all content sent through the network.
